Cabo San Lucas Fishing Report

                                    January 19 through January 26 , 2012 

                                     Overall Catch Success Rate 70% (all species combined)

BILLFISH:   fishing Reports for Striped Marlins and  Sailfish. “Ursula IV” caught a 2 Striped  released.

Mr. Maka he do a Great day with 1 Marlin 6 Dorado.

OTHER SPECIES: Dorado catches were at thirty percent for fish up to 30 lbs but catches were usually of only a single fish, with just a few boats getting more than this. Tuna catches were at nineteen percent for fish up to 35 lbs

WEATHER CONDITIONS: Beautiful…mostly sunny skies, though we did have our first rain of the year during the night last week which lasted three hours and damped the dust down. Slight chill at night, seas mostly calm.. 


LOCATION: Pacific, Lighthouse to Golden Gate, popular spot was Gaspareño, Los Arcos, Golden Gate.

AVERAGE WATER TEMP.  71-73 F

BEST LURES;    Green petroleros, caballito

LIVE BAIT: caballito, ballyhoos, sardine
